AI Assistants (MCP)

What Your AI Assistant Can Do

Once your assistant is connected, ask for what you want in plain language. Your assistant chooses the right Tutorial AI action.

Your assistant works as you. It reaches only the workspaces and projects you can reach, with the same role and permissions you have in Tutorial AI.

Some assistants show ready-made prompts from connected apps — in a menu, as slash commands, or not at all, depending on the assistant. Tutorial AI offers two:

  • rewrite-script — rewrite a project’s narration. Choose tighten, grammar, audience, or custom; the last two ask you to describe what you want. See Rewrite Scripts.
  • edit-slide — edit one slide, with a preview before anything is saved. See Edit Slides.

You don’t need them. A plain request works just as well.

  • Record videos, or delete videos or recordings
  • Invite users or change who’s in a workspace
  • Change your billing or plan
  • Change slides through a script rewrite — slide changes go through slide editing
  • Reach anything your own role doesn’t allow

Your assistant is instructed to:

  • Ask before it changes anything, and use exactly the values you approved — the title, languages, voice, or destination folder.
  • Show a preview first before it edits, adds, or deletes a slide, and before it saves a document.
  • Ask you to confirm before it deletes a comment thread, publishes a specific version, or unpublishes a video.
  • Ask you to pick a recording by name. It never chooses one on its own, even when there’s only one.
  • Copy or move a project only when you ask.

When a slide is deleted, its images and videos stay in your workspace.

  • Generating a video uses your workspace’s video generation quota, exactly as it does in the app.
  • Translating uses your workspace’s one-click translation allowance and may use AI credits.
  • Creating a project from a recording or inserting a recording doesn’t currently use AI credits.
  • Script rewrites are written by your own assistant. Tutorial AI doesn’t run a separate AI model for them.
