How to Hide Article Authors

By default, the author's name is displayed at the top of each article, making it clear who created the content. However, there may be situations where you would prefer to keep author information private, such as for collaborative articles or for a more streamlined article appearance.

This article will guide you through the simple steps needed to hide article authors from your help center articles, ensuring your content only displays what you want your readers to see.

Accessing Your Help Center Settings

  • Open the Settings menu from your dashboard or main navigation.

  • Select Help center from the list of available options.

  • Choose the help center you want to Edit if you manage multiple help centers.

Configuring and Styling the Help Center

  • In the top right corner of the screen, click Configure and Style. This will open the configuration portal where you can adjust the appearance and layout of your help center.

  • Click on the Styling tab . Here, you'll find custom settings specifically for controlling how your help center looks and feels to end users.

  • Expand the Shared element section to reveal advanced styling options that apply across all articles and categories.

Hiding Article Authors

  • Scroll down until you see the option labeled Show article authors in the shared elements section.

  • Toggle the Show article authors switch off. This will remove the authors' names from being displayed at the top of all articles in your selected help center.

Saving and Publishing Your Changes

  • After completing the above steps, make sure to click the Save and set live button. This ensures your changes are published, immediately hiding author information for all affected articles.
